RE: Schedule is out
All I've got to say about Schor is that you need to compare his record in Vad's first few FCS starts with us last year. Don't even use Maryland, actually I'll allow you to choose any two games out of the first six to compare against Schor then make your decision on how our QB is doing. Go back and pull up any of those first six game threads last year and take a look at what was being said.

Man, I love Vad but some of you have very, very short memories.

RE: Schedule is out
I think Withers absolutely has some growing to do as a HC but I also think he's done an amazing job at bringing new life to the program and the university. On top of everything else he's also had to deal with some very talented assistant coaches getting poached. If we had the continuity of the same staff as last year we'd be executing on a whole different level.

I care less about his X's and O's if he can recruit top player and coaching talent, and continue to foster the kind of culture he's established. Let good OC's and DC's handled the minutia.

RE: Schedule is out
The good news on that schedule is that the trips to Maine and New Hampshire don't come late in the season. That bodes well for the Dukes chances at places that are traditionally difficult to play. Not having to face an improving Towson team is good, and UNH/Maine/URI is an upgrade over Albany/SB/Towson in terms of fan interest. Three games in decent driving distance of the bulk of the fan base.

UNC will crush us, I have no doubt really, but I find the environment at Chapel Hill a joy on game day - Top of the Hill a great bar to get things going early in the fall. UNC seems to be a ACC program rising in football right now.

Other than that, I think we will see more competitive games than we did this year, more cardiac moments, but really as it has been stated, this team should be even better next year on the whole. Vad took the team to new heights, but Schor getting playoff experience will pay big dividends. I hope we can win this year with the easier path to the NC, but next year's team might have a better shot at a deeper run in terms of the team's experience and talent.

...now they just need to set start times at noon or 1PM so that i don't have to stay up much past midnight to watch them next year from Tbilisi!

Nice thing is for UNC, is there is a good chance that we will be playing against a new HC which it seems we always do in I-A games.
