Let's thrash the f****** rams

VCU has ramped down the "Havoc" so far this year. Talley seems like the perfect guy to break the press if they do use it on Saturday.

The Stu is a tough place to play and it's still so early in the season. It's a rivalry game in my mind, but I think the Monarchs come up just short. I hope I'm wrong though!

VCU looked good when I watched them vs. Duke and Wisconsin. They have some athletes.

Jeff Jones will have them ready. I expect Talley to start over Vassor. I think Bacote shows his seniority and goes off this game. We saw flashes of it vs St. Joes. The Freeman-Caver-Talley-Biberaj-Taylor lineup is a winner, though.

Anyone think we play Pervier? If last game was too fast for him I'm scared to think what this game would be like.

Aw c'mon, it's just a thread. Don't be like the VCU fans that get super-pissed if the wrong person starts the game thread (I actually like those jerks, but it's one of those idiosyncrasies that make me chuckle).

I live in Northern Virginia so done and done.

It is pretty much the same deal as before: Handle the ball and make your free throws, they will foul you. We will need to keep pressure on Johnson cause they go to him when they need to get big things done. Our big guys will need to stay out of foul trouble.

Yeah and wip their imaginary football team.

We have the guard play to handle their pressure, as proven last year. Baker will be counted on heavily to stop Johnson and should be up to the task. I was impressed with how our younger players (Talley, Caver) performed this weekend, especially considering it was Talley's first games. Mosley seemed to be shaking off some of the rust as well. Coach Jones will have our guys ready to play and continue what could be a long winning streak against VCU.

And Bacote only scores over 30 when he faces VCU. So there's that too!

He was responsible for Bembry who scored 15 points against him. Something's gotta give.

His defense is no where near elite enough to cover up his lack of offensive production as a starter. Not even close. At least Taylor gets offensive rebounds and timely put backs.

I am all for the debate about whether or not Baker should be starting, and I think there are very valid arguments that he shouldn't, but anyone who doesn't think he plays great defense is really not watching.
