I'm considering making it a thing for next year, really emphasizes your picks at the end of the season just like winning or losing is to post season play.

I feel uneasy about picking almost all visitors to win but I see it that way.

I think it is a bad idea to make these games more points.

2) MICHIGAN- Harbaugh has turned this program around faster than anyone could have imagined and the game is in the Big House.

3) INDIANA Hoosiers need this one to be bowl eligible and possibly save their coach's job

7) NORTHWESTERN Big Thank you to former Illini AD Mike Thomas for moving the next few NU Illinois games that were schedule to be in Champaign to Soldier Field. Makes it that much easier for Northwestern fans to attend.

Wild Card:

1) FLORIDA STATE Big 10 fans should be rooting for the Seminoles, they have no chance of getting a playoff bid but a win here over the Gators could screw up the SEC's chances as Florida will be playing Alabama in the SEC title game.

2) STANFORD- another game that can make a huge impact on whether a 2nd Big 10 team gets picked for the playoffs. Stanford has little chance of making the top 4 but a win over ND will end Notre Dame's playoff chances which help opne up a 2nd slot for a Big 10 team. A winning Stanford is not going to jump Iowa or MSU (unless either one losses)

3) OKLAHOMA Sooners should win because they play better D but this is another game that will affect the Big 10's chances of landing a 2nd playoff spot so Conference fans should be rooting for OK St to win at home. Even if they do they should not jump Michigan State(provided they win) and MSU will jump a losing Oklahoma.

Since I had one of my best weeks of the year last week, I'm inclined to go for your idea of Doubling the points for this weeks games, another solid week and I can be knocking on the door for #3. But that may not be fair to others who in past weeks chose more wisely than I did.

A great regular season ending week, if Stanford, Ok St & FSU win; the Big 10's chance for a 2nd playoff slot look good.

I'm not violently opposed, but don't really see a good reason to implement a mid-season rule change. For next year, if we are going to be giving out bonus points, it should be for close wild card games, so there is risk/reward for making skill picks.
