They have beaten two power 5 conference teams this year?

I don't understand the love for Belmont, when that poll was released Chattanooga was 3-0 with wins over
Georgia and Illinois in 8th. Belmont was 3-2 in 9th.

RE: Mid Major top 25
I'm okay with Chattanooga being ranked that high, they have a couple of good wins, but I really don't understand how Wofford has 21 votes at 1-2, with their lone win being over the powerhouse known as Maryland Eastern Shore. Then we are sitting at 3-1 with a win over Ga. Tech and don't even have a single vote. I know it's still early and Ga. Tech may turn out to be terrible but we are getting zero respect, just gotta keep winning if we want any recognition.

I think Chatt's a bit too high, but you could probably say the same about ETSU and Mercer. SoCon basketball looking tough this season. Wofford is OLD news.

Keep in mind this is voted on by coaches. At this point in the year I doubt half of them even know who has beat who.

Someone tossed UTC a 1st place vote!? That's quite a leap. I don't understand Wofford getting votes either. You guys have a monster win over Georgia Tech, but Green Bay is looking rather pitiful. Their only win is over a DII team.. and that DII team (Minnesota Duluth) was beating Green Bay at the half!

Green Bay is looking rough at the moment but I will say they had a brutal schedule to start out. @stanford, @ETSU, @Ga.Tech. All of that in less than a week. For our RPI's sake I hope they pick it up. They play a good Akron team at home tonight.

Green Bay beat a really good Akron team tonite 66-63. It's too bad we lost to a really bad CSU team. And no we don't deserve any votes for this poll after that loss.

CSU plays Akron on Friday. Will be interesting to see how they compare there.

Unless the BUCS become highly ranked in the mid major poll. All of a sudden it becomes relevant. Funny how that works.

It will never be relevant to anything that matters. They're in a one bid league and no matter how high some obscure poll ranks them winning in Asheville is the only route to the dance.

Even pretty girls like to hear the words ''you look spectacular,'' from time to time, even if it's obvious to the masses. And you are right JustBuc, Asheville will be our lipstick barometer.

I disagree, it matters for seeding after you win in Asheville. Being ranked means you've won some high quality games, and doing that in the SoCon helps you avoid a 16 (or 15) seed. I don't necessarily care about the poll as much as what it takes to get there.
