Vance McDonald scores his first regular-season NFL touchdown today
Rice alum Vance McDonald, a tight end for the SF 49ers, scored his first regular-season NFL touchdown today in Seattle. Here's a link to the video:

(On August 24, 2014, pre-season game, McDonald had scored the first touchdown scored in the Niners' new Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara.)

And now his second. Gabbert to McDonald for the 49ers' only TD versus the Cards, along with 71 yards on 6 catches.

Pretty good day overall for Rice in the NFL today. Boswell went 3-3 on FGs, moving him to 17-18 on the season (and 11-12 on the new PATs). Hard to imagine the Steelers not bringing him back. Chris also had a tackle on a kick return today; not anything any team ever wants to see, but good that he was able to get his nose in there and show off some Owl toughness. :) In that same game, Willson caught a pass and got a Rice shout-out from the announcers. And over in the Minny game, Sendejo tallied three tackles. Not bad, fellas. Not bad at all.

Watched nearly all of Az-SF (as a Cardinals fan) and every time I turned around Vance was catching another ball. Well done.

Jimmy Graham hurt his knee for Seattle today and is out for the year now, so Luke Willson's playing time will increase. Pittsburgh lost at Seattle but there are still three (and maybe as many as five) Owls who might make the playoffs this season.

Off the top of my head, Boswell, Gaines, Covington, Sendejo, Callahan still have a shot. Gaines is on IR, but the Chiefs could make it.

You mean Scott Solomon's Browns don't have a chance of making the playoffs?!?

Isn't Solomon on IR too? Sendejo probably has the best shot right now I'd say of making the playoffs, followed by Boswell, Willson and then Covington. Callahan is probably the longest shot.
