UC Bowling
I hate the AAC Bowls because they are too close to Christmas.

Random thoughts:

I expect Navy to win the West and beat Temple and get the NYD6 invite. That leaves Military open. If UC could win out perhaps we could go back.

B12 has this:
BCS
Cotton
Holiday
Gator (when it selects a Big 12 team)
Alamo
Sun (when the Gator does not take a Big 12 team)
Insight
Independence
Texas

8 bowls this year with 5 already eligible (OSU,OK,TCU,BU,TT)
TX is 4-6 so it must beat TT and BU and thus likely will not make it.
WVU is 5-4 and likely wins one of KS,IS,KSU

That means 2 B12 slots available.

RE: UC Bowling
Problem is, the AAC has seven spots, not including the NYD bowl. I would say only 7-8 teams in the league will get bowl eligible. So, there is no way any AAC team gets out of a bowl contract, just so that the B-XII's can get filled.

My hope is we can get a match up with an ACC or SEC team. Louisville would be a great match up that people would actually want to go to.

AAC 6 now eligible. Then:

Tulsa 5-5 games with Navy and Tulane. Assume Tulsa beats Tulane that is 7
UConn 5-5 games with UH and Temple. Could get one for no. 8
ECU 4-6 games with UCF and UC. Assume they beat UCF and hope they do not beat UC

Independence, Pinstripe, Quick Lane, Poinsetta, might need replacement teams. AAC might not fill Cure Bowl, thank God. We will have to fight Memphis for BHam Bowl. Unless Navy goes to Access bowl, which frees up Military we are going to St. Pete or Miami.

or this could come into play,

In addition to the conference's primary bowl affiliations, The American holds secondary partnerships with the AutoZone Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tenn., the AdvoCare V100 Bowl in Shreveport, La., and the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl in San Diego.

There is a chance for nine but UConn has to knock off Houston or Temple. ECU has beat to beat both UCF and Cincinnati. Tulsa needs beat Navy or Tulane. I believe Tulsa gets to six wins while UConn and ECU fall short.

If Houston is the conference champion they play in the New Years Six Bowl. Navy heads to the Military Bowl. Then things get tricky, I want to say that Memphis has the best shot at Birmingham unless they really want an Auburn v Cincinnati matchup.

If Navy or the east division winner is the league champions then good luck predicting things.

ESPN says Birmingham vs MO or AUB

SB says Miami vs Marshall

CBS says Miami vs Middle Tenn

Pulling for Birm.

Let's hope Clemson, ND, AL and to$u win out and B12 is out looking in.

I know we say this every year, but our bowl affiliations really suck. Temple and Memphis are on course for games against CUSA (WKU) and MAC (Toledo) winners. Thats not fun! Definitely nice to show you're the class of the G5 but I want more than that! I'd rather play in Birminham against the 9th place SEC team (Missou or Auburn).

There is serious doubt as to whether or not the SEC will have enough teams to fulfill the Birmingham contract... So imagine playing in the pit that is Legion Field against a CUSA or Sunbelt team.

If No. 1 isn’t in College Football Playoff

1. Allstate Sugar Bowl
2. Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl vs. Big Ten No. 2

The conference will assign teams to the respective bowls in this pool
Outback Bowl vs. Big Ten No. 3
Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl vs. ACC or Big Ten
TaxSlayer Bowl vs. ACC or Big Ten
AutoZone Liberty Bowl vs. Big 12
AdvoCare V100 Texas Bowl vs. Big 12
Belk Bowl vs. ACC

Next Tier
Birmingham Bowl vs. American
Independence Bowl vs. ACC

SEC already has 9 and

AUB 5-5 (ID, AL) they beat the Vandals to get to 6-6
UK 4-6 (Charlotte, UL) they obviously beat Charlotte and UL is pickem
Vandy 4-6 (TAM, TN) misses out as they cannot win both or even one
MO 5-5 (TN, AR) both opponents are hot and Pinkel and his gang deserve to stay home and work on micro aggressions.

So I count 10 eligible and possibly UK as 11.

So with AL in NC that means 11 slots and one could be open if UK losses to UL.

Yeah, I hate to say it, but I don't know if I like our chances against WKU or Toledo in a bowl game. I think we would have a better chance against a 6-6 SEC or ACC team. Either way, Tommy will probably nonchalant the team to a 2-TD loss.

I predict it now. We play Bowling Green in a bowl game (unless the Falcons win their conference championship game).

RE: UC Bowling
71 of 80 needed are eligible. Below are the 14 with a shot:

Nebraska -- Week 13: Iowa Won't happen
Indiana -- Week 13: at Purdue IN wins
Virginia Tech -- Week 13: at Virginia VT wins
Washington -- Week 13: Washington State ?Missouri -- Week 13: at Arkansas Pinkel stays home
San Jose State -- Week 13: Boise State No way San Jose
Minnesota -- Week 13: Wisconsin ?
Illinois -- Week 13: Northwestern IL stays home
Old Dominion -- Week 13: Florida Atlantic OD stays home
East Carolina -- Week 13: Blows out UC
Buffalo -- Week 13: Massachusetts Bulls win
Kentucky -- Week 13: Louisville UK moves on to BB
South Alabama -- Week 13: at Georgia Southern ?
Tulsa -- Week 13: at Tulane Tulsa wins

I think bowls will be 1 short and will take a 5-7

I don't want to go to any bowl desperate enough to want UC this year.

Somehow CBS sports projections have us in the pinstripe bowl at Yankee stadium against nc state. I guess as a fill in for some conference that can't fill it?
