Clark should take it. He owes nothing to the UAB administration. I would really hate it for the FANS of UAB, but I think even they would understand.

Got similar reaction when I said Woodfin was coming here. Also when I said he would not be returning to UAB.

You're right. After everything he's done here, after staying when he could have easily left, after all the momentum we have now with a new stadium coming and unreal support that has never been present during this program's history, after getting some extremely talented recruits with the revitalization of this program, he's going to flush that all down the shitter for Southern Miss.

just passing on what I heard. It's by no means fact. Don't freak out on me. Clark is a good one and well respected around the South. There will be more teams and athletic directors contacting him before all is done.

I'm hearing that Ray Watts is a lock to replace Rodney Bennett at Southern Miss. They would be a perfect match, each getting exactly what they deserve.

I wouldn't even hire away Monken yet based on what he's done so far this season. Depends on what he does the next few games.

I think at this point, coaches of a few other G5 schools look a little better at this point. Maybe if Monken have a great season next year.

There is a ton of turnover this year, but that might be the norm going forward. As more P5 conferences try to "schedule up" and play less FCS and G5 teams, there are going to be a lot of P5 coaches with really bad records.

Clark should absolutely be on Southern Miss' list. But why should Southern Miss be on Clark's list?

Clark?? Not the name I am hearing. I am hearing it is Lincoln Riley's if he wants it. If Riley doesn't want it, then it is Kendal Briles next on the list. If Briles doesn't want it then it is Mike Yurcich from Ok State. If Yurcich doesn't want it then it will be Doug Meacham from TCU. If Meachum doesn't want it they are just going to hire Bower back.

Unless Rickey V finds a way to screw it up Briles will probably be the new hc at North Texas.

If he wanted to leave UAB he would have done it in in December with the announcement. UAB football would not have come back as easily without him.
