First off Coach Fuente, his staff and our players have laid the foundation for a new positive era in Tiger Football. Despite the recent losses we are light years ahead of where we were 4 short years ago.

That being said, the most important thing to remember is that we now have a new administration in place along with a group of dedicated boosters that are totally COMMITTED TO OUR FOOTBALL PROGRAM and have invested vast amounts money and time to see that it is a success and that we are ultimately a member of a power 5 conference.

The sleeping giant that was Memphis Football has been awakened and people all over the nation have taken notice. Our SEC brethren have take notice as well as a couple of other conferences that are contemplating placing a flag slap dab in the middle of SEC territory.

50,000, mostly Tiger fans, in the stands for a non-SEC opponent caught the eye of everybody and showed the nation that our recent success is possible and would likely increase if Power 5 conference money and schedules are made available.

Surely hope Coach Fuente decides to stay, but if not I will say "Thank you so much and I sincerely wish you the best in every future endeavor you undertake." Meanwhile, I am confident that those making a new hire will do another great job in finding us another great coach. Only this time, it will be easier and we will have no shortage of qualified applicants to lead this new awakening football giant that is The University of Memphis.
