Someone really wanted their streak to continue I guess. Bad losses (mostly in terms of margin) to Stony Brook (31-6) and Delaware (31-14) stand out to me. They also did not play well at William and Mary (34-18). Four wins to finish the season mostly against the dregs of the CAA + Richmond, but total body of work is very mediocre. I like North Dakota's resume much better, and even Towson compares very equally (bad close loss to Elon, but wins over Stony Brook and 19-0 over Delaware).

I think for UNH it all comes down to the fact that their bad losses were when their QB was injured an not playing and they won 4 in a row including a win over a seed in that streak.

I agree on the injured QB front. I think that helped us a ton too in terms of getting back up the board. JB mentioned in the Jones Rivals piece that when he was on the committee this always came up - How did you rebound from an injury to a star player or look when they came back? It would be interesting to know whether UNH or WIU or someone else was the last team in.

that pairing with dayton was purely regionalization working there. they care more about saving a few bucks than anything else about these playoffs.

NDSU did not get screwed. They're lucky to be the #3 seed. I think there's saying something in being undefeated and McNeese should've been seeded ahead of them. I know the SLC isn't as strong as the MVFC, but still. Undefeated and a four seed. That's a joke.
NDSU is as far down as a 3 seed because of their two losses. One was to a 7-4 playoff team and another was just a bad loss.

Agreed. NDSU got gifted with a #3 seed...

People talk too much about seeds...Looking at the bracket give me McNeese's 4 seed all day. Last year NDSU should have been #1 and was #2...oddly though that year the 2 seed was an easier road.

This year we get the 3 and the toughest road to Frisco. It is what it is thanks to regionalization sadly.

Most of the time I appreciate reading opposing teams fans comments on our boards and on their own boards giving a different perspective on things but why are they trying to justify regionalization to us? We get shipped to YSU in 2006. We get shipped to Appy in 2007 and draw Liberty last year. I think we are well aware how "unfair" regionalization is. This is the first year I can remember we actually got a favorable draw in the playoffs.
