Because we were going to join the Southwest Conference, but then the big boys decided to disband it in order to get the hell away from Houston. We were then going to join the Big 12, but they decided they wanted a Texas school to replace aTm - so long as it wasn't Houston. We were going to just stay in C-USA an keep on winning, but some C-USA members felt the need to flee, and so we chased 'em down.

I think its cute that so many Houston fans have such an inferiority complex they need to keep trying to bash conference mates. I know Tulsa had twice as many conference championships when we were in the same league and your mad that you couldn't run away --- but you'll get there. Just pull your boots straps up and keep winning. You can do it!

I even considered going to Houston, then I remembered I already has [sic] a high school diploma.
(for Houston fans, the [sic] denotes a known error)
