Surprised it wasn't more . . .
. . . though I'm betting if you looked at "actual butts in seats," the drop would be even more dramatic . . . .

Wow, and ESPN keeps referring to us as a "small school". None of these averages even fills our half-stadium. Goes to prove it doesn't matter what you do in FCS or the rare Gameday visit, your fans have to suffer life as third world citizens.

You're stadium holds 24,877. Half is 12,438.5. Which means that all but 1 fills half or more. I think you need to go back and take a course in basic math.
You have your administration to thank for the third world citizenship. They're the ones that blew it.

You seem surprised by this? Most of the G5 has fairly poor attendance averages, they still get more money and prestige than you guys.

Sure, I'll go back and take basic math if you go back and take basic reading. I said "fills our half-stadium", not "half fills our stadium". Our admin had the genius foresight to expand only one side of the stadium so we now have a lopsided monument to their legacy.

JMU averaged 20,240. Good for 5th in the conference. Just imagine how bad that would look if you had built a whole stadium.
I'd prefer that JMU were in the Belt with us, but don't be mad at us because of the failures of your admin.

Who says their stadium is a half stadium? Can we claim ours is 2/3 of a stadium because we haven't yet finished the bowling in or added to/upgraded the East side?
Stadium capacity is stadium capacity whether you state fills our half or half fills, it's the same thing. The capacity isn't changing.

No, there is a distinct difference between Bobcat Stadium and Bridgeforth.
It truly is half of a stadium with a few bleachers thrown up on the visitors side. It is stranger in person than in pics.

Doesn't an interstate go right past it? I think I drove past it one time and it did look funny

That stadium resembles their leadership, do they half-ass everything at JMU.

Yeah I'm not sure what the attendance smack is about. You don't have to play any Tuesday, Thursday, or Thanksgiving games and you're still not filling your half stadium.

Wasn't putting down the SBC, just airing frustration over the fact our leadership built half an FBS stadium that most would think a clear sign of intent to move, we average higher attendance than many FBS teams, our budget is double most FCS schools, and yet they stand around with their puds in their hands. Now they want $88 million for a new BB arena when our men's program has been driven into the ground for the last 20 years. How can I talk smack when I'm sure next year the Yukon School of Cosmetology will pass us by?

Yes, you can see the home side stands clearly from I-81. There are (were) plans to build up the visitor side to reach a capacity of 40k+ but even they're not stupid enough to seek the funding to complete it while we're still in FCS. By time they get around to completing it folks will probably be driving around in George Jetson cars so I-81 won't be an issue.
