With Houston and Memphis losing today how bad does that hurt the conference in getting the access bowl slot?

As long as Navy or Temple win out, I doubt there'll be a problem, unless the Playoff committee just loved the Toledo win over Bowling Green.

Toledo needs help to even win the MAC... they need NIU to lose to Ohio (Ohio is the underdog in that game) so I'd say Toledo is a long shot for anything Access Bowl related

Temple needs to beat UCONN first but I wouldn't be so sure about Navy pounding them. Navy ran all over them last year at the Linc and Temple still had a chance to tie the game on their final drive. Temple's defense definitely responded today in the win over Memphis after the last two games against SMU and South Florida.

Yep, I loved it.

I don't think it hurts too much. Navy wins out, or Temple wins out.

Either of those two teams get the Access Bowl. Navy for sure makes Top 10 if they go 11-1 in the regular season.

I think that Navy is going to win out too. Tulsa tonight, Houston and then I presume Temple. If Navy wins these next 4 games (including Army); do they make the playoffs?

I think that they may have a good shot, because they should jump some spots in the upcoming polls (I am thinking between 10-13). Beat a ranked Houston and Temple team will get them into the top 10. Wouldn't that Army v. Navy game possibly be for a playoff spot?

Houston still get it at 12-1, navy gets it at 12-1, Temple gets it at 11-2

USF has an argument against most teams except Toledo, and Toledo doesn't control its own destiny
USF's "Dominating" wins over perceived good teams probably puts them eye test above the other competitors (SDSU/Air Force/WKU/Ark state)

in the Houston forums pre-game most of the Houston fans were saying this game was irrelevant in the bigger picture of things. win or lose, we would still get the access, we would still host the CCG title game if we beat navy, we could still win the Conference (it was about discussions of whether or not to play our injured qb, who is medically cleared but not anywhere near 100%)

ECU fans have been saying that since Week 2. Actually ECU fans have been saying it for a few years now, because Navy kills ECU.
