hate to admit it but it's the truth. Seems these teams made significant defense changes to limit our offense and we have been very slow to counter. Our D is very average and can't be counted on in a tight game.
USF is playing so well right now I bet they would beat us too with the D they have.

They all beat us. That would mean better than us. Houston really didn't "limit" our offense. We limited ourselves with mistakes. Our D is probably below average. And when the offense sputters for too long...well you see the results. We can make stops...and help ourselves out...but the Offense literally has to get points on almost every possession or we'll lose.

Houston beat us be 1 point due to a missed FG while time expired on their field and they are better than us? You may want to rethink that.

I will give you Temple and Navy...They whipped us.

They did beat the Tigers, so there is that. BUT, those four teams are all bout even-steven. There is no doubt the top four teams in the AAC are really good. We just had to play all three. Cincinnatti aint bad either. The Tigers will bounce back. It could be worse.

I agree. That talent just isn't there --- these are Good teams we've lost to. But 8-3 with a victory over Ole Miss and averaging over 45K a game --- I'd accept that at the beginning of this season. No doubt.

In the AAC pecking order we're 4th or 5th. Ok, we all expected a rebuilding year this year. I predicted 8-4 going in so 9-3 will be a game better.

At 8-0 it was all right there and I didn't expect to beat all three of Navy, Houston, and Temple but I didn't expect to lose to all three either.

Beat SMU, get to 9-3 and then go to play a 6-6 SEC team in a bowl game. It's more or less what I thought the season would be but I didn't expect it to happen this way.

The biggest thing that needs to happen now is sign CJF and land a Big talented recruiting class. Next year probably will be rebuilding with a Freshman QB..

Here here! How quickly everyone seems to forget. Before you know it, they'll put Fuente in the same box with Pastner.

A lot of people on this board and folks I know had us winning 7-9 games this year so I'm not mad at all...giving that Houston game away though does suck but we still have a chance for 10 wins again this season and before the season started I would have taken 9-10 wins in a heart beat.

IMO Navy and Temple are clearly better than us. Their defenses are impressive. Houston might be on the same level and frankly that was a game we should have won easily.

We are 8-3, which is a whole lot better than 3-8. Either way I'll be at the LB Saturday cheering on the Tigers and coach Fuente. Give me these last two years every two years and you won't hear me complain.

RE: Temple, Houston and Navy are all better than us...
We were 8-0 until Navy showed us that discipline counts.
I figured we were due for a loss, and going undefeated was improbable.
So, take that as a 'wake up call' and move forward. I can live with that.

Despite giving up all those 4th quarter points to Houston:
We drove down, and were in position to win.
Our usually 'automatic' kicker just missed.
So, take that as a 'fluke' and move forward. I can live with that.

Today: I'm still trying figure out what I saw today.
Very disappointing game plan and execution.
It appeared as if everyone has already 'checked out'.
Losing, after giving it your all, I can live with.
I'm not sure I saw that today...
03-banghead

I'll never quit on the team. I just hope they haven't quit on this season.

We're a great team, and probably better than Houston. I'll concede the others. But injuries seem to be piling up for us and we're not adapting. Our defense is pretty rough right now.

No idea. Three weeks ago, though, we were in first place and in control of our destiny.

I don't concede anything. We could be 11-0 right now with this team. We underestimated Navy, 'made mistakes & played that offense poorly. We gave the game to Houston & lacked effort & game plan against Temple. We could be 11-0.....none of these opponents are better than our team. We just needed to play like a focused team that wanted to win.

Just think with OSU losing, the B12 beating each other & the PAC disintegrating where we might have been.
