RE: Tech @ UTEP
UTEP gave us this one. But we tried really really hard to give it to them though. UTEP is building a great team, they'll be a force next year when healthy.

UTEP deserved that win. That QB is going to be dangerous for the next few years.

No kidding. Unless he thought the weather change was really effecting Driskel. This has been one of the hottest fall I can remember and this was the first real cold front that came through last night.

You guys should send flowers to the field goal muffler. He gave you the game. Dang, I'm still Psed. He'll remember this game as the one he screwed up and screwed the team from a bowl game.

You guys played a good game. We didn't. But if you had made that field goal, we wouldn't have punted to you on our last possession. So we don't know what would've happened. And if you did win by 1 point I could just as easily have said Dixon gave it to you by taking a safety when all he had to do was dive forward to avoid it. I wish you could've gotten bowl eligible without having to beat Tech. I think you'll be back next year. It will be a tough one for us without Dixon and with likely a redshirt freshman or sophomore QB starting for us. Looking forward to meeting you on the hardwood in a couple months. 04-cheers

Congrats to UTEP on a well played game. Your players were gritty and tough today. And they didn't quit. Your team truly deserved to win today. LA Tech was very fortunate that things turned out the way they did.

Best of luck to UTEP going forward.

Something like 95% of UTEP's offense in the game was generated by freshmen. Next year should be a good one for the Miners if they can avoid too many injuries. Lots of returning starters and experience behind the starters.

LT is one of the best teams in C-USA and regardless of what happens next week, they are a force to be reckoned with. Win your bowl game wherever it is.

Dixon's fumble didn't help us too much either

It is a shame that Dixon gets credit for that fumble. Driskel placed the ball on his chest pad, nowhere near his stomach. Oh well, Tech got the "W" anyway... on to USM.

It was high placement, but Dixon seem out of sync yesterday especially during that safety, He always falls forward

Player of the Game, was Shouse even with the help of the wind, that punt won the game for Tech. Or the UTEP kicker..... Tech was very lucky to win yesterday

UTEP really needs someone who can catch punts, never mind returning them. I think we lost about 15 yards on the last punt because we didn't catch it. We lost 20 earlier in the game for the same reason. We muffed three against Rice. The 15 yards puts us around the 45 or 50 for the Hail Mary and we could have gotten another play off with the extra 5 seconds or so that came off the clock when it was rolling around.
