WKU @ FIU
Senior day for FIU and our last chance to become bowl eligible. Sadly, WKU is a 19 point favorite on the road. I hope the guys come out with way more fight than they did @ Marshall. My only hope is that the boys have looked decent @ home so far.

Almost game time. Here's to a good, injury-free game. 04-cheers

Go Panthers!

WKU up 14-0. Another blow out in the making.... Program quickly spiraling down the toilet under the current leadership.

Looks like losing 52-0 at Marshall sucked the life out of the season. This is not the same FIU team that took Indiana to the wire. In the 4th quarter now, 56-7 Toppers cruising. Doughty pulled middle of 3rd quarter with pedestrian numbers. Look for running plays only from here out by WKU at least.

We are playing people I've never heard of ? Tough conditions to put 60 + points on the board

Learned a new rule today. Game just suspended for lightening. Both coaches agreed to conceded the game but because it is a conference game the officials requiring the teams to come back out and play after the lightening delay (minimum 30 minutes.)

The score: 62-7
Time left: 5 minutes.

RE: WKU @ FIU
Over the past few games WKU has become a very balanced team with a almost 50/50 run pass. We have become much more difficult to defend.

Only thing I can come up with is the Conference set this rule to protect TV contracts/rights. Everything is dictated by TV, am I right?! They should call the Fox folks and get permission.

And after making the teams wait nearly 30 minutes in the lock room and in the tunnels ready to come back out on the field they call it. 62-7 WKU Final.

Mercy-ruled again. 2nd time in Tuner's tenure at FIU.

RE: WKU @ FIU
yeah we sit there through many many many down pours..way harder than what I experienced at lsu and even with the delay my wife and I was waiting it out..in 4.5 years I never left a Western game early..yeah, left when we went to the victory formation but never 5 minutes. Waited out the delay..soaked poured have a cup of water out of my shoes...twice. Waited and they called it.

Glad to see FIU still has the same usher/rules from my last football game there 3 years ago. Still wont let anyone sit in the club sections...with them 100% empty of FIU fans. For the first time as a paying fan (since i was a kid and sneaked into games) we were not asked to see our ticket (or scan it) to get in a college football game...

WALKED RIGHT IN TO THE STADIUM no one to check or scan tickets

Western came out focused on defense and if they play any where close to like they did today...Western will win 3 more games this season. FIU didn't have many fans but the ones there showed their pride in the school and program...

they sit right in that driving steady rain with the rest of us

03-lmfao I got to see that; post it, if you can.

When Tech play MTSU, they showed a tech kid in trunks with swimming goggles and a nose clip doing the backstroke in the stands.

How long of a drive since you don't fly?

We drive but driving is something I love doing....1055 miles from my home to Ft Lauderdale where we stay on trips like this. 6th trip to Ft lauderdale since we played FAU/FIU in basketball last Jan...

great fishing in this area makes the drive a lot easier to make :) And if not for Western football and basketball we would be spending Nov-March in Ft Lauderdale..can't beat 75-80 degrees and fishing every day in the winter. The only thing that does for us is Western's sports.

The true fan was my wife who scheduled her 2nd bypass surgery in between this trip and the LSU game so she could make it...

a little over two weeks ago she had her 2nd bypass...

today she was sitting right through all of that rain. I was willing to leave..to get her out of it but she knew what I was doing and wouldn't have any of it. SHE'S THE SUPER FAN
