Your point remains good. It was a statement that we would not be bullied. A tough guy play by a 5th year senior. We were pushed around a bit by the VIllanova guards. And early on we were pushed around in the paint by Tech.

But that totally changed around in the second half when we owned what Forbes called "the hustle points": points in the paint, second chance points and points off turnovers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZ2lJS3_Nmk

I think it was partly bigs like Peter Jurkin and Toriano showing up strong in ways that don't make the stat sheet. But mosty Guyn, A.J. and Cromer showing that the paint was open for navigation.

My internet is crappy. I watched most of the game quite blurry.

I've been rejoicing in a recently acquired Chrome Cast attachment - for $35 it plugs into an HDMI input on your TV and lets you send anything you can get on the Internet through your home network (if you've got one set up) to your HD TV. Or you can use an Android phone or tablet to cast from. The Bucs in HD on the big screen is a real treat after years of sometimes fuzzy internet.

There are other ways to do it - Roku makes a popular one, there is an Apple attachment if you've got an Iphone or Ipad. Or if you've got a laptop with an HDMI connection, you can hardwire it into your tv.

The announcers intially bought into the forearm argument, but a quick replay showed it was the shoulder - just as effective, but legal.

By the way, closing other windows might let your computer up the level of display to a full HD.

We had a low level broad cast of the Bucs initially because Runningfool was watching several NFL channels for his fantasy football league. But when he closed some of the other windows, the broadcast jumped to full HD.

But hey, at least my fantasy team won COGS02-13-banana
Thank you Andy Dalton for helping me pull out a four point win last night.

I'm glad we won, but I do feel bad for their fans.

You're kidding, of course --- feel bad for their fans???

Not sure what the right word is. Identify with their pain?

Last year I was miserable, sitting at East Coast wings watching us get drummed by The Citidel and seeing our first roun bye slip away.

Just saying I know what a low point feels like. And I hope UTC gets a healthy low point dose in 90 days or so...

RE: Official Game Thread: Georgia Tech (W 69-68)
VERY early into Forbes' tenure, four attributes stand in stark contrast to his predecessor:
1) Adaptability - Every game we've had a different lineup based on the opponent. Not only that, but Forbes has made real-time adjustments based on the opposition's adjustments and weaknesses.
2) Forbes' handling of freshmen. There is NO WAY Bartow would've given Toriano Stokes 11 mns against GT. NO WAY. If Bartow did give Stokes time, he would've yanked him if Stokes tied his shoelaces in a way that made Bartow uncomfortable.
3) Forbes believes we can win big games. Bartow gave us 12 years of platitudes - he knew he was getting paid.
4.) Forbes doesn't ninja roll behind trash cans when he sees me coming but instead engages in conversation.

I talked to "Maurey" on the sidewalk in Asheville last year and at length at the JC Country Club. PAINFUL.

I stopped Forbes one day at the Athletic Offices in the Dome. Engaged, approachable, and everything I want in a coach.

Dead man walking. His survival thus far has been predicated entirely upon the GTAA being essentially bankrupt and still having to pay Paul Hewitt not to coach and not having a home court his first season. He has beaten UGAg every year. That is literally the only thing of merit he has done on the court. Off the court? Perfect. Stand up guy. Rubs it in UGAg's face when he can. Cheers the other teams at the school in person. Drops the hammer on off the court bad behavior. If only he was 1/2 as good on the court as he was off it. He was cheap though, and probably the best the GTAA could afford under the deep sea anchor that was Paul Hewitt's contract.

My problem is with Just Buc's allusion that we are somehow shunning defense just to get on SportsCenter. They played their hearts out at 6AM, and the dunks created momentum, got the crowd going, and too often we forget that our guys are kids playing a game.

Only old white men whine about dunks vs. layups.

Nah...they aren't shunning defense now are they...
