Strong Conference
The performance of USF should not have surprised anyone. They have had good recruiting for the last several years. Coach Willie Taggart had been a successful coach at both Western Kentucky and Stanford.

The schools in the AAC are located in great recruiting areas. They are hiring outstanding coaches. Justin Fuente won the conference championship in 2014. UConn Coach Bob Diaco was awarded the Broyles Award in 2012. UH Coach Tom Herman won it in 2014. Memphis Coach won a championship in 2014. SMU Coach Chad Morris was an outstanding OC at Clemson. Tulsa Coach Philip Montgomery was the OC in the high-powered Baylor offense. UC is typically strong. ECU has been consistently good. UConn and USF are coming up. SMU and Tulsa will improve. UCF will be competitive with new coaches.

It is beginning to look like the AAC will have 6-8 strong teams on a persistent basis. The AAC may look like a P6 conference very soon.

Being a power conference is more than winning. While we are making strides in the competition on the field department, we are still outcast in the tv money, playoff access and bowl tie ins. Until those improve we can't say we are a P6

Right now we are a G5 +

Consistent wins lead to money. Or at least a golden ticket for some.

RE: Strong Conference
The thing I like to see is over half our league is averaging over 30K a game in attendance. 25% of the league is averaging over 40K. UConn is at 28.5K. If they have a big crowd Saturday they might be the 8th AAC team to average over 30K this year. Now that they have become a solid team again, USF should easily join the over 30K club next year. If Temple continues to perform well, in 2016 we could have 3/4s of the league with an average attendance of 30K plus.

USF will go way up next year. Crowds always lag when you're coming off a down period. The FSU game will sell out and we'll average 35-40k in the rest of them.

If UCONN can win one of these last two games and become bowl eligible, attendance will definitely increase next year....especially with home games against Virginia and Syracuse.

RE: Strong Conference
The AAC is not a P6 conference.

The AAC has shown considerable strength this year.

The AAC has had respect from ESPN this year.

The AAC is winning including OOC.

First, the wins must come.
Then, the recognition comes.
Then, the money comes.

Honestly, the only issue we have is OOC losses. as long as we win our OOC games we'll get respect and with time Money should come.

And butts in the seats, though the ACC quietly goes unnoticed for their lack of fans at some schools. But they're already on the right side of the rope.

If the playoffs expand to 8 teams then I really believe we will have a shot at getting in. Going to 8 would help tremendously.

Definitely not true. Money comes from TV ratings (which impact contracts), advertising prices within markets, sponsorships, bowl games, attendance revenue, etc.
