RE: Fire Tuberville
Up until yesterday, I felt this coaching did not deserve to get fired. Overall they were giving us average quality over the last three years. Friday's first half showed me a head coach that didn't prepare his team and lacks the leadership to weather the storm when things go bad. UC hit the panic button way too early yesterday.

Outside of a scandal or a string of losing seasons, one game shouldn't drive a staff over the edge. We have a pattern of play that is undisciplined, unprepared, and flat out bad against solid teams.

If Tuberville was a young coach, I would give him a pass on yesterday. We did it with Mark Dantonio in 2004. Mark's first year included an ugly loss at Syracuse, a home loss to UAB, the Army debacle, and the 70-7 blowout against Louisville. Team started out 2-5 but won 6 regular season games and a bowl game to finish 7-5. Most of us went after Mick during his early years which included many of blowout losses and embarrassing defeats to lesser programs. You live with that when you have a young coach building the program. I do believe Tuberville wants to build a program here, I don't believe he can establish a culture of winning that takes UC to the next level.

Also, first year versus year 3.

If Butch or Dantonio has year 1 in year 3, not only do they not get hired away, they may have gotten canned.

Just wanting it isn't enough. You have to DO THE WORK. And if your staff is not up to par due to budgetary restrictions, then you need to work even harder.

Unless a coach is truly terrible after 2 years, they should always get 3 years to prove themselves. So here we are, nearing the end of year 3. Are we better? Nope. Are we cratering? Maybe. That's not good.

"IF they start out 9-0 next season..."

That's a huge bit of optimism, right there. Especially when we have already been told that the problem is that we have set our standards "too high" and that it is "unrealistic" to expect 10+ wins.

So, I suggest that this is in no way a legitimate argument. Indeed, if UC had started out 9-0, we would not be having this conversation. And likewise, I can see no evidence to suggest that 9-0 next year is anywhere in the realm of logical expectations.

Find another tack...because, in the best Southern colloquialism, "that dog just ain't gonna hunt."

Considering Tubbs hasn't managed to even start 3-0 since he's been here:

I have watched a few bits of Miami games on E3 this year and I'm amazed at truly how bad they are. The fact that they should have beat us speaks libraries. Could any CTT defenders imagine if we had lost to THAT sorry ass excuse for a squad? We already have a CEO over the FB team...it's called the AD.

Yeah it came at the beginning of the 10 o'clock hour, when the camera was away from the main stage ziplining. Also saw a Cincinnati Bearcats flag there. Literally LOLd.

Hey it could happen. If we play the first 9 games at home against below .500 teams. Keep the faith.

Just swamped at work and in perpetual exhaustion. Try to read at times but I'm so far behind I just skip stuff. Enjoying Cronin and the basketball program's ascent. He deserves every kudos with what he overcame.

Nope. I have a good memory. The last 3 years will not be forgotten. I am not sure we can get the first 9 teams to be all sub .500 teams to accomplish this feat. If the program was where we thought it was going 11-0 is not outside the realm of possibilities. Heck, I would take a mediocre 7 wins right now. Face it the program has regressed not moved forward under this regime. Isn't that why we are spending all the cash? Why I am donating money every year? To move the program forward and win games? Definitely not to sit here and count moral victories.

If you want moral victories and are fine with 6 wins, go root for Miami(oh). I understand the mindset though: Mediocre people do not like high achievers and high achievers do not like mediocre people.

Bohn needs to be bombarded...not his doing to bring in this guy but if he actually gives this huckster an extension, I have spent my last cent and attended my last game for a while.

1. The only way we start 9-0 with that clown is if all 9 teams are dregs.

You have been spending too much time over on BCJ. Most of that group are big time rainbow and unicorn types. It's laughable and yet sad at the same time.
