It seems like a lot of P5 schools are losing to so called inferior schools. Some of you may not like it, but what coach says is true, Winning Is Hard.

Quality wins will have to come from the conference. Hope SMU, UConn, Cincy and Tulsa don't falter along the way

Ohio State was 13-27 from the free throw line... yikes. UTA was 19-22.

i thought the shot clock would be the big change

but it is looking like officiating will be the big change

with more fouls called

therefore, free throw shooting will decide more games

This isn't football there are no regular season must wins. U can recover from lots of losses and still win the national title. See UCONN a couple years ago. All u got to do is get to the dance then it's luck of the draw. I don't see it as a must win. We prob should win if they lost to such a terrible program but if u take a look around right now there are upsets everywhere in college basketball. Lots of parody nowadays in college basketball, I think it has a lot to do with the early entries. Because of that no real dynasty can be built anymore in college basketball. Players are gone too quick. Could u imagine if that Anthony Davis Kentucky team was together four years they would still be winning national titles. Also I think the lesser known schools have less talent but more experience so they end up catching some big name schools and even making deep runs as evidenced by the last few tourneys. Really there are rarely elite teams in college basketball anymore cause the best players are gone after one year so it's nearly impossible to sustain success at an elite level. Even UK had a couple years with a top recruiting and I believe missed the tourney that year. Just a thought. Carry on.

Losing is way easier than winning. That's why there are so many more losers. Just look at the Republican presidential candidates. They started with 19 and only one will be the winner. 18 losers, one winner.

At Memphis basketball, winning is easier than losing. Even Wayne Yates won more than he lost. The lenghts that Pastner worshipets will go to justify his dumb statements are astounding.

Ill bet even he knows now that 'winning is hard' was a terrible mantra.

I agree that early entries along with all the top one and done talent being stacked on the same teams it leads to a bunch of highly talented inexperienced guys against TEAMS.

You're way off base. Perhaps it's his presentation.

I'm not a Pastner fan but

Dumb statements:

'Winning is hard, but 'I want to win' - Doc Rivers NBA Champion coach Sept 25, 2015

'The art of winning is hard, guys. It’s hard'. Jim McElwin coach of 9-1 Florida Gators November 14 2015
