UH and Memphis to the BIG 12
With the money the schools are spending on their coaches something must be going on? I think UH and Memphis are going to the BIG 12 soon.

If they are smart Big 12 takes Memphis, Cincy, Youston, and UCONN.

the Big 12 doesn't need any more Texas schools. Memphis + Cinci is more likely

We already started spending our money on coaches, just prior to this year. We must be ahead of the curve!

Or maybe both realize they have special coaches and know that keeping them as long as possible no matter the cost is worth it.

Memphis is about to go downhill very fast. Losing Lynch and possibly Fuente will leave them with no QB to carry the team and Fuente hasn't exactly recruited well. Memphis has only made 1 bowl game in the last 7 years.

You need to work on your research.

You need to work on your research.

In 2012 you were 10th in the AAC.
In 2013 you were last
In 2014 you were 7th.
In 2015 you were 5th.
Your incoming class is 8th.

If these teams leave for the Big 12, they can give up hope of any winning seasons. The only advantage is the money for the Athletic Department. Rutgers and Maryland must love the cash, but they are a combined 1-12 in the B1G. West Virginia who has historically been better than both of these teams is 2-4 in the Big 12.

My guess is they take the $$$. There's been one example of a Non power conference school rejecting a power conference invitation. Air Force turned down the Big 12 in 2011 citing "competitiveness"--they admitted they didn't believe they could compete in the conference. I'm in the service and I love how the 3 academies don't sell out for money. Ever. Makes me proud. cheers!

Your incoming class is 8th.

Fuente started with 52 players. He is using a number of walk-ons. Recruiting has improved from when he got here, BY A LOT.

And you mentioned NOTHING about who might be following Lynch. The next guy could actually be better. You act like we won't have a QB next year.

It's not like we won't hire another coach who might be good, too, assuming Fuente even leaves.

And you cherry picked the bowl data. We went to TWO bowls in the last 7, not one, counting last year and 2008. This year will make 7 of the last 13.

Like I said, study harder. Don't just do the easy stuff.

Not sure why you're all giggly about Memphis suddenly going downhill. Especially since it ain't gonna happen.

Don't need to sell out for money when you have the Defense Dept. budget behind you. I love the service academies, more for their mission than their sports, but they do realize that the sports are part of the experience, not the mission of the schools. I wish more schools would realize that.
