We've still yet to wear the traditional blue on gold this year. I'm beginning to think we won't be seeing it. I think Narduzzi caters to the players and they don't like it so they go blue on blue or blue on white. I much prefer blue on blue to the blue on white, though.

Still - can't take my eyes off that Pitt helmet. It's right as it should be. Finally.

It has been stated many times that the players said they don't like the gold pants because of the way they feel/fit. Not sure I understand that, but if they don't like 'em, HCPN won't force them to wear 'em.

That's right. I've read the comment about the pants too. It doesn't make much sense so I sort of interpret it as the players don't like the way they look. That's fine too, they are the ones that have to wear them.

I don't see how the blue and white pants would be different than the gold in terms of fit or feel but like you said - whatever.

I know that sometimes the Cards uniforms are made out of different material, usually the special ones though. The players say the new material is lighter & fits better, tighter, could be the same with the Pitt uniforms. If the different colored pants are made out of different material that would effect how they feel & fit.

The lettering and numbering of U of L's Primeknit jerseys are also chrome-shaded and outlined in red. Adidas touts the Primeknit design as keeping players cool and increasing range of motion while maintaining a compression fit that makes it difficult for opponents to grab.
"Everyone sees the look and likes the look, but this is the best material you could possibly have for a player to play in," Petrino said. "This is going to be the lightest, coolest, and it doesn't absorb water. It's going to be unbelievable to play a game of football in."
