Interesting Read re: Memphis vs Temple
Temple is pushing for an on-campus stadium and many people are pointing to the attendance at this weekend's game as a gauge to whether it's a feasible project. Article has a few good things to say about the Tigers and the conference.

The final two paragraphs in that article also apply to the TIGERS home finale against SMU next Saturday:

The crowd might not affect the Owls' performance on the field, but it does impact the perception of the program. Big-time college football draws huge audiences, and that's what Temple football wants to be..... It would not hurt if they had more support than they've ever seen before.

Anything less than 40,000 would be a huge disappointment for a team that deserves even more than that.

I think MEMPHIS can set a season attendance record if more than 33,000 show up for SMU. It will be interesting to see how many show on the Saturday after Black Friday on Thanksgiving weekend, a traditional time for travel for many.

Yes, going "home" for Thanksgiving weekend has been a tradition with my wife and me since we married and came to Memphis in 1968. However, when there's a home game, we just send the kin-folks a card. The Miss State and Ole Miss factions understand because they do the same. Great-grandmaw's used to it.
