Marshall had an epic implosion. They were outscored 49-23 in the final 14:30 of their game.

USF hadn't been very impressive in the young season but holding it close against a tough GW team that beat #6 UVA is pretty impressive.

RE: Alabama State fell to earth tonight
I saw someone mention the Marshall having a lead on Tennessee in the Troy thread so I ended up checking the game. It was definitely a collapse. Their play kind of just froze up. Tennessee got back into the game via their dribble penetration. If they didn't score on the drive, they either got fouled (they were excellent at the free throw line) or just kicked it out for easy threes. They lived by the three and definitely died by it. I think they took about thirty threes and only made like eight or nine of them.

As far as Alabama State goes, beating teams in power conferences is always something even if they're not really that good. They were definitely expected to have no wins thus far so even having one, nearly two, isn't bad at all.

What happened to Tommy Burton? He signed w.Alabama State but isn't on the roster. I don't see him on a JUCo roster either(via http://www.njcaa.org/eligibility/sports-intent). Prep school someplace?
