Like I said in a different thread, the bottom half of the conference is going to continue to f over the top half. The top half is pretty good (really good in some cases), but the bottom half are RPI killers. For those who say "just win the games you're supposed to win and you'll be fine"....the RPI doesn't work that way. The majority of your schedule is your conference opponents. Even if the top teams destroy the bottom half, their collective RPIs will still plummet due to the awful nature of competition.

Can we get a waiver from the AAC office and Fresco...the top 5 teams don't have to play the bottom half of the teams and we just play each other three times instead? Or if that won't work, can we play some D2 teams in place of the bottom half of the league?

For those that harp on 'the bottom of the conference" and 'they'll drag down our RPI', I'd like to point out that this conference has no representation on the Selection Committee. None. Zero.

Representation on the selection committee doesn't change the disparity between the two halves.

Being a quality academic institution in a destination city only gets you so far. This is an athletic conference. Tulane needs to pull their weight or GTFO.

Tell your AD to write a letter personally attacking Tulane athletics. If the school gets blown up enough in the media they will HAVE to start behaving like an athletic program.

I can't wait to go to grad school in a year or so. While it will help my career (#1), I'm looking forward to watching a team that isn't completely full of shite about everything they do.
