Losing this game or listening to the color commentator and CMU alumnus, Ray Bentley. Just awful on both accounts.

He sounds like a bad Jack Nicholson impersonator to me.

Though that does make me imagine watching football with Jack....I bet that'd be a hoot.

Bentley hates Fleck. He's growing on me.

In the past I smelled CMU emanating from his tonsils when he spoke. 03-puke And often it was directed at WMU.

I haven't heard him in a while at least knowingly and I was pleasantly surprised based on my past perception.

Thought he offered great insight, some humor and played well off Drake's Dad.

But that's just my opinion.

I didn't notice any bias or anything either. Outside of a couple issues early on with Flacco substitutions I thought the crew was pretty much on point tonight.

I have to admit he was better than in the past, but he has this way about him that I cannot stand. He totally reminds me of Matt Millen...

He's fine. Sounds a bit stoned and does have some Millen in him, but I haven't heard any bias lately.

I believe he was new to doing back in the Butchy Jones days. And his kid was playing for the Chips.

Seems much more rational. Again, he had good insight and even a little self deprecating humor.

Didn't have a problem with what he said (except when he was factually wrong), he just kind of speaks in a slow, nasally, whiney voice, which is annoying.

Some of you know Ray is my cousin. CMU, Buffalo Bills linebacker.

Kimbo never thought much of him! They were the same era.

Ray's older brother Rahn was a really nice guy, I remember him playing for the now defunct South HS in GR and later he was an MSU Playboy All American lineman. I remember Rahn kicking off out of the end zone consistently in HS.

Family origin is coal miners from Wales. Basically barbarians a couple hundred years removed. Sturdy folk though. Never known to be that intellectual. Tough guys from the wrong side of the tracks in GR.

I think his style is evolving, improving a bit as time passes but he'll never be a big time announcer. He has a book out right now, I think the title is "57", must have been his playing number.
