RE: Quick update on the Tulane AD search
I think this thread has the first ever mention of Dairy Whip!

No this isnt the "first appearance" of Dairy Whip.

Not sure the thread or year but Pony introduced it when he said, "Bearcats#1 works at Dairy Whip in Bee Cave" or some such. I ran with it and we created a whole Dairy Whip Mythos...

I like Wickstrom and Benedict since both understand athletics in the deep south - although Tulane isn't exactly "southern".

Wickstrom knows how to do a lot with a little - and at Tulane he'll have more resources than at ULM. His results haven't been bad at all when you consider that they're the poorest FBS program by some distance.

Benedict is an SEC guy. He'll probably focus on the football program over the olympic sports.

Patulski sounds like a good hire, but there have been some foul off-the-field incidents at Baylor which suggest a LOIC. Tulane people don't like these types of programs.

Can either of them speak Cajun?

You seem confused. Cajuns are from another part of the state. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cajun#Culture

My father in law lived on the west bank of nawlins, I could dig thru his accent, his neighbor was understandable in the AM, But after 6 beers around 1pm had to hire translator.
