OT: Ohio State sues casino
News release:

"Ohio State University has filed a lawsuit in an effort to prevent a Cincinnati casino from naming its concert venue “The Shoe."... The casino applied to register it as a trademark in 2013. Ohio State is trying to block that application, saying Ohio Stadium and the casino compete with each other."

I find this amusing because the Shoemaker Center at UC was nicknamed "The Shoe" from 1989 to 2005, when it was renamed "5/3 Arena at Shoemaker Center." I don't recall OSU ever suing UC over that nickname (in fact, growing up in Cincinnati I never heard of "The Shoe" at OSU - until I was 19 I thought the only "Shoe" was the one where the Bearcats played basketball).

My immediate thought was "What about Shoemaker?" when reading the article, and I've never even lived in Ohio.
