Saturday (snuck in) and then had dinner with the football team at Meet the Pirates night.

It was a closed practice but me and my son's and friend and his son got in and watched. And I liked what I saw! Pinkney looked very good and the true freshmen didn't look that bad either. No. 21 (I believe Fractious) looked pretty good too. The defensive line looked better than I have seen in a while. The offensive line is still suspect but better than I anticipated. The center snaps need to be more consistent and crisp in the shotgun. I don't want to divulge too much in case the Dukies or other opponents are reading, but at the end, the 1st team defense stuffed the 1st team offense and the offense had to run sprints. The players were great with the kids and signing autographs.

I liked what I saw today from the schemes to the attitude of the players on the field. I can't wait for the Duke game. I am VERY caustiously optimistic!!!!!
