I have to say I was totally wrong. I thought the committee would drop any G5 without a chance at their respective CC like a bad habit.

Just wondering.......if Memphis wins out and Navy/Houston each lose a game, the Tigers might pass them in the playoff polls. If that happens and the Tigers finish ahead of both of them in the final regular season poll, can the Tigers still make the Peach Bowl without playing in the AAC Championship game????

It's unlikely, but possible to still make a NY6 game. Win out. Navy beats Houston but drops at least one other and losses conf champ game then we in (maybe).

The access spot WILL GO TO.... A G5... Conference ... CHAMPION. PERIOD. It is in the contract.

BUT!!!! That does not preclude other G5 teams from being offered "at-large" positions in the NY6 bowls. But you better be WAY the eff up there. Like 8th or something like that. Our ceiling doesn't go that high with 2 losses.

That is what I was hoping could still happen, but I was asking because someone told me we have to be a conference champion to play in a New Years 6 game if we are from a G5 conference.

I will say this...

We would be around 8-9 if we had won our last 2.

Have to be a conference champion. No conference champion, no access slot. Also, if there is not a G5 champion that is in the CFB playoff poll, then they do not have to take a G5 team at all.

What if Temple wins the Conference champion but is not ranked. That means Navy Houston or Memphis can't go even if they are ranked?

You would have to consider where the other G5 conference champions would fall in the rankings in this scenerio.

Seriously, isn't it better to wait and buy them from the UofM when they come out? I could understand going ahead on a hotel reservation.

02-13-banana Everyone keeps saying that our attendance counts and the only way to get the true figures is for the tickets sold by the University to the bowl game.
