If NIU beats WMU but loses to Ohio, then we need WMU to beat Toledo, so that everyone in the West has two MAC losses. NIU would win a three way tie with Toledo and WMU, and a four way tie if you add CMU.
But all the Huskies really need to do is just take care of their own business, and what the rest do will not matter.
Should NIU lose tonight, then Toledo would be the best MAC West representative this year given their OOC record. The ranked Arkansas and Arkansas State wins were very impressive. Sadly WMU have yet to distinguish themselves OOC.
While the odds of Toledo getting the only Access Bowl are not great, they are far better than WMU or BGSU.Should South Florida win the Old Big East then Toledo might get the Access Bowl over South Florida.
That said, would like NIU to win its 6th straight MAC West title, 6th straight trip to Detroit and beat BGSU to repeat as MAC champions.(fourth time in five years.)
