Looking at their roster, I think we should have a nice size advantage. My assumption is we'll probably try to beat them down low, especially with the way Cokely is playing.

Troy is 2-0 with an 82-77 win @ USF and a 97-82 win at home over Reinhardt.

Their best players appear to be:

Jordan Varnado 6'6" 215lb F - averaging a double double with 23.5 points and 10.5 rebounds
Wesley Person, Jr 6'3" 180lb G - averaging 18 points
Jeremy Holliman 6'3" 195lb G - averaging 12 points and 5 rebounds

Is this the last game of the Troy basketball series?

This will be another tough battle for UAB. If the guys take the Trojans lightly they will get handed another loss.

Or UAB for that matter, he and Haas both has had great starts to their college careers.

IIRC Wesley Sr is a bit crazy and nobody wanted to deal with his meddling. Jr is a great shooter, but didn't face very good competition in hs.

Job #1 is stopping Varnardo. He's a 6'5" 210lb forward, so he relies on speed & accurate shooting to get the job done. I'll be interested to see who defends him.

Varnado also won Fun Belt POTW last week.

On a more serious note, I believe this will be a good game. I think UAB does have a size advantage... but so did USF. I'm looking forward to seeing how Troy does against what I would consider one of the better teams on our schedule.

I was down there with Georgia Southern on Saturday. The new arena looks fantastic from the outside.
