seeing the bridge, the river and the skyline is always comforting to me.

We didn't have much time to get around the city because we were in town to go to my wife's family reunion up near Pickwick.

But I sure miss Memphis. DFW is so....plain. But one cool thing, driving back into Dallas, most of the high rise buildings have new LED lighting and they were all lit up with France's flag colors.

Memphis definitely has soul, which surprisingly is tough to find in most other major cities in the US.

I do wish our skyline was a little more scenic, though.

True, but it's the only US city with a pyramid!

That ain't no pyramid. It's a big Frisbee target, i.e. landing pad for donut crafts.

I do wish our skyline was a little more scenic, though.

The 16 story Artesian Tower is now finished by the old bridge, and hopefully One Beale actually gets built.

I can't wait when that thing is finished. 2020 is the projected date right?

I'd say that's more of an obelisk than a pyramid.

There is also a fair size pyramid in Niagara Falls on the Canadian side.
