CFN ranks the bowl games.....
Quote:11. Louisiana Tech vs. Arkansas State

R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl
Dec. 19, New Orleans, La.

It’s always a fun watch. Arkansas State wrestled away Louisiana-Lafayette’s four-year grip on the game, and now it gets its chance to play in the dome for the first time since December 20th. It’s just the sixth bowl game in the school’s history, breaking away from the GoDaddy, while this might be a stepping-stone game for Louisiana Tech. The fans will show up to bring the energy between two schools just 20 miles away from each other.01-wingedeagle

12. Middle Tennessee vs. Western Michigan

Popeyes Bahamas Bowl
Dec. 24, Nassau, Bahamas

It’s going to be measured against the mother of all wild bowl games – Central Michigan mounted a wild comeback including a Hail Mary to force overtime, only to lose to WKU – but it should be just fine on its own. Offense, offense, offense – the two are going to wing it around the year in a game of pure bowl candy.

22. USF vs. Western Kentucky

Miami Beach Bowl
Dec. 21, Miami, Fla.

It’s the Willie Taggart bowl with the USF head man going against the program he helped rise up. WKU is always fun and always entertaining, while South Florida has steadily improved with a nice season and a chance to make a mark. It’s been five years, but the Bulls won three straight bowls before hitting the skids. This WKU’s third bowl ever with the first two – both against Central Michigan – among the best games in the respective bowl seasons. The two teams are going to try.

31. Washington vs. Southern Miss

Heart of Dallas Bowl
Dec. 26, Dallas, Tex.

The best team Southern Miss beat this year? Louisiana Tech. The second best? Rice. Yeah, the Golden Eagles have an offense, but Washington has Chris Petersen as its head coach with a young team that’s going to try.

40. Connecticut vs. Marshall

St. Petersburg Bowl
Dec. 26, St. Petersburg, Fla.

I won’t be shocked if this ends up on somewhere in the top 15 bowl games after this is all over, but it’s hard to get up for a defensive battle. This isn’t the Marshall of the past few years – the offense just isn’t there – and while UConn has been solid, it’s going to make this game a slugfest. One team’s D will have its A game, the other won’t, and you’ll have to talk to your family the day after Christmas. That’s not okay.

At least MT wasn't ranked 37th like in ESPN's crap-tastic rankings. As a fan of a P5 school there was some real BS in those rankings.

This is only the 3rd bowl game in school history for WKU?

I guess I didn't realize that.

We've only been FBS 7 years. We've been Bowl eligible 5 times but 2 of the times we were eligible were while we were in the Sun Belt and they didn't have enough Bowl Tie-Ins.
