I personally think our fans have gone completely nuts. Our football team is doing great. Way better than ever before. Our basketball team is trying to put a good season together after last years losses.

And our fans seem to have given up on everything. We are the University of Memphis, we aren't Alabama or Duke or Kentucky or Texas or Kansas. Going to games used to be fun, rooting for our team used to be what it was all about. Now it seems that if the Tigers aren't the very best team in the country, they aren't worth cheering for.

I cheer for the Tigers. Love it when we win, hate it win we lose, but love the team no matter what.

Unfortunately, many that think the sky is falling just recently jumped on the Tiger football bandwagon while we were "giant killers", but are not familiar that the vast majority of teams that go to bowls win between 6-9 games each year. It's rare for most any school to win 10 games especially 2 years in a row. I don't care which conference you are in. I long for the day for our young men and coaches that we one day will have a program where fans show up 40k+ each game no matter if we are winning 6-7 games. This is the part we are missing by not having an OCS. Students are not used to going to games, and when they graduate they do what they have always done, watch other teams on tv on Saturdays.

So we are not supposed to be upset with blowing a 20 point 4th quarter lead? Good grief that doesn't mean we want the coach fired.

As are all of us. It's ridiculous that we can't even talk about the game or coaches decisions without the police getting all riled up. It's a message board. Some people too closely relate real life with this place.

It seems like 90% of Mimi's posts address what he/she perceives to be "trolling" behavior. He/she just can't help it. Rather than debate someone else's opinion, he has to accuse them of ulterior motives. Whether he/she admits it or not, clearly that behavior bothers the heck out of him/her. Otherwise he/she would ignore it.

I assume many of you have siblings. When you were growing up, did you ignore them when they were trying to get a rise out of you? Or did you always have to point out to them that they were trying to get a rise out of you? Did that do any good to stop the behavior?
