RE: Shakir Brown
Morgan is out with a separated shoulder Dukeman....that's why he hasn't played since EMU. Morgan and Kangni are probably the two best athletes on the team....that doesn't necessarily translate to playing time. I don't recall making that comparison, but that's certainly okay. He didn't play much at Butler for a reason. Seems like a good person and I hope he's integrated into the rotation where he can contribute going forward.

RE: Shakir Brown
I thought through this earlier and it was confirmed during the JMU broadcast tonight.

All of Brown's top games have been on the road.

Obviously, it would be great for him to heat up at home too. If he does this, he'll be getting regular attention for CAA player of the week.

Good offensive player when his jump shot is falling. I have not seen him be able to drive to the basket and he does not appear to be much of a defender either. He has the athleticism to do so much more than he is doing right now. I am not complaining as he had been a good addition. I just don't see him as a complete player yet.

He isn't. And he won't shoot 50% from 3 like he has started the year. He takes way too many bad shots to be a high % shooter over time.
You can see he wasn't coached up much in JUCO, but Brady has already said he is going to give him more leeway. He isn't the only one that takes bad and quick shots, but he adds fuel to that fire.

His biggest and most sustainable asset IMO is his rebounding. He is leading the team in boards and we all know the Dukes have been lacking in that area the last 2 years. Once Dalembert is healthy, the Dukes should be able to win most rebounding battles against CAA teams. That is huge.

I would like to see him assert himself more on the boards and defensively. If he had more than just a three point shot, he would be so much tougher to defend. So much potential. I hope he realizes what he can be if he works toward being a complete player instead of being satisfied with what he is right now.
