We want UR to beat WM and give them 3 losses.

a 9-2 JMU > 8-3 WM and 8-3 UR particularly when JMU has an FBS win ( Nerds / ticks don't) and we have NO bad losses ( UR/ WM do- at least relative to our losses).

Head to Head will not matter as much to committee when you compare overall resume and W/L record

In this case there is a real chance we could get a seed ahead of WM and UR ...

I'm not so sure about this. All three teams would be 8-2 against I-AA. Both of those teams beat JMU. It would be hard to justify giving a Seed to JMU and not to at least one of the others. If we get a Seed, I think it would be the CAA's 2nd (and lower) Seed.

I'm rooting against the Ticks.

I will also say that I would not be shocked to see the Big Sky not get a Seed - especially if Portland State loses.

I'll be honest, I didn't read much of the rest of this post. But yup.

Haha, agreed. Especially when you consider Richmond will be squarely on the playoff bubble if they lose.

That's the best part of the wm-ur game. It's win win from our vantage point, assuming we beat VU.
If ur wins, our shot at a seed improves. If wm wins, ur may not even make the playoffs.
Win-win.

Have the CAA and the SoCon ever had a no-seed year?

I think there is a chance for:
1) Jacksonville St (10-1)
2) McNeese St (10-0)
3) North Dakota St (9-2)
4) Portland St (9-2)
5) Charleston Southern (9 -2)
6) Illinois St (9-2)
7) Coastal Carolina (10 -1)
8) South Dakota St (9-2)

The MVFC and the Big South have gotten a lot of love this year. Where Chattanooga and the winner of the W/M UR game still possibly not getting seeds. I would hope they seed the 2 best MVFC and just 1 Big South, but even that scenario likely means no seed for JMU. On the bright side, we likely should be in a good spot to win a bid and host.

I've been going through past brackets to evaluate our odds of getting a seed. Our path to a seed is most similar to Towson in 2013.

How did Richmond miss the playoffs in 2012!?

RE: Overall I-AA Playoff Status - 11/15/15
Here's a game that has possibly put a team on the bubble: NC Central beat NC A&T.

Yes, it is a MEAC team, but this game now throws the MEAC title into slight uncertainty. If Bethune-Cookman wins their game (on right now - against FAMU and Alex Wood), there will be a 3-way tie for their "bowl" game. According to the MEAC's press release from Wednesday, it will come down to which team is higher in Sagarin between NC A&T and B-C. If Bethune-Cookman loses their game, NC Central goes to their "bowl".

NC Central finishes at 7-3 in Division I (2 I-A losses). NC A&T finishes at 8-2 in D1 (win over Elon, one I-A loss). B-C would finish 8-2 in D1 if they can close out their win (one I-A loss).

I can't see NC Central getting an At Large. But could NC A&T or B-C get one of the last spots? I don't think they should, but we'll see....
