Will Lynch be ok for next game?
Haven't seen anything on this - looked like he took a shot to the knee on his last pass and limped off the field.

RE: Will Lynch be ok for next game?
That was a borderline dirty hit. It looked like the defender intentionally launched at the knee level. I am not saying he intended to hurt Lynch necessarily, but launching low at the QB like that is definitely dangerous.

Agree. It was definitely a hit intended to take Lynch's knee out - legal, probably, but still dirty play.

Not legal, you aren't allowed to hit a QB low, even out of the pocket if he is throwing the ball. One of those that could have been called.

That hit scared the heck out of me. I thought for a second he was seriously hurt. They need to hold him out of practice until it is good to go.

yea, if it isn't 100%, hold him out. He's got money to claim in April.

Yup. Phase 2. A highly touted *star* from Memphis. We want him to leave here fit and ready. Brings in recruits and says a lot about our program.

I agree. There's nothing to play for at this point

I disagree that there is nothing to play for. 10 wins with our schedule is no joke and a real goal.

I DO agree we gotta look towards Lynch's future and our own. It is likely he leaves to get paid in the NFL (get that paper Paxton!), so it makes sense to start getting some late/garbage snaps to our backups.

Are we redshirting Brady Davis? I don't think he's gotten a snap yet.

Do we even know if he's actually hurt? Overreact much?

We can go 8-4 and still have a trip to luxurious Birmingham.

I get what you are saying, but 8-4 is good, 10-2 is better. Consecutive 10 win seasons would be huge for the program. Still plenty to play for.

But yeah, we're off to Legion field either way probably. Hence, if Lynch isn't 100%, I am fine with the backups getting some snaps.

It ain't the Fiesta Bowl, but it sure beats 1-11 or getting steamrolled by Hugh Freeze in Jonesboro.

Not sure what you mean, but most of our fans are colossal cheapskates and would have been too cheap to go to Phoenix. A trip to a place like Birmingham is right in their wheelhouse.
