The playoff shaping up
Things are starting to shape up for the playoff...

The way I see it....Alabama will win out and should get the #1 seed.

The Big 10 Champ will get in

North Carolina is becoming a real possibility, and it appears they are headed on a collison course with Clemson

I think the Big XII Champ is in

Stanford losing tonight killed the PAC 12, and hurt Notre Dame as well...I think ND is on the outside looking in now...I think they need to blow out Stanford and hope for the Big XII or ACC to choke

No. North Carolina doesn't have a chance.

Pac 12 isn't dead. Utah wins out and they have a really good chance. Especially if the Big Ten champion is Michigan St or even moreso Michigan.

Big 12 right now has Oklahoma St. And frankly I don't think they have a chance....

RE: The playoff shaping up
I disagree.

Notre Dame will be happy put their 11-1 up against the Big 12 champ's 11-1.

Undefeated Clemson is in...one-loss UNC is behind ND and Big 12 champ.

Big Ten champ may be in...but none are so strong that they're likely to win out. OSU could lose their last two. Iowa

I think there's a lot of chaos ahead still...

If North Carolina wins out and beats an undefeated Clemson team, they've got an excellent chance of playing their way in

RE: The playoff shaping up
they would need a lot of help.....
they would need bare minimum 2 of-
SEC chaos
Big Ten to have 2 loss Michigan champion
Big 12- not have Oklahoma St at 12-0 or Oklahoma at 11-1
Pac 12- not have Utah win at 12-1
Notre Dame 11-1

And frankly even if Michigan wins out- could see Michigan at 11-2 ahead of UNC at 12-1.

Notre Dame's schedule took a hit today....Oklahoma would get in over them guaranteed, especially with a win over Oklahoma State

Frankly, ND probably won't beat Stanford

Notre Dame beat Texas 38-3.
Texas beat Oklahoma 24-17.

No ******* way Oklahoma would be in guaranteed over Notre Dame.

I have to agree. The Stanford win definitely hurts Notre Dame. Yes, of all the major conferences, Notre Dame has the best shot standing up against the top big 12 team due to them having no CCG. That Stanford loss hurts though.

What is Notre Dame's best win right now? Navy? The Irish have lost ground tonight

But not against Oklahoma. The Texas comparison is an absolute killer for Oklahoma.

The fact that Norte Dame pounded Navy and they may very well be the G5 rep helps ND.

Also losing to Clemson by only 4 points the #1 team is as quality of a loss a school can get.

Truth of the matter both Clemson and ND may be overrated by 4-5 spots each because of the easier schedules they've played than the SEC schools.

The 2 FCS teams UNC played will not do them any favors with the committee, I think you'd have seen them 7-8 spots higher otherwise

It was a two point loss to Clemson.

Alabama is in....they're going to bludgeon Auburn and Florida

The Big 10 Champ is most likely in, even with 1-loss

Clemson better be ready for North Carolina....

And the PAC 12 is out

I feel the same way about Alabama unless of course they have another Ole Miss moment. Their defense is so tough right now. I didn't watch the game against Miss State but seeing Dak's stats and seeing how few points they got tells me that Alabama's defense was rock solid in the red zone right?

Clemson had a SOS of 26 going into this weekend with a SOR of 1. You can make a strong case for them being #1 by the numbers.
