I'M A BELIEVER. Best game in years. We finally got one right - loud fans, students in numbers, live broadcast on ESPN. And that one hander was even better than AJ's last.

I SAID IT'S GREAT TO BE A BUCCANEER!

To the student crowd, including "Greeks" (sorry, quotes because I'm actually 1/2 Greek), great job and great energy. I was pleasantly surprised. Although, maybe you can grab a big trash bag and throw your trash there, instead of the Science Hill parking Lot.

It was a good year to buy season tickets. Go Bucs!!!!

Awesome day & game. Most fun I've had at an ETSU game in years. Hopefully we can get ESPN back here for another game.

Congratulations to Coach Forbes and his staff and to all of our Bucs! They played great today on national television and are going to have a wonderfully great year. Thank you!

Exciting basketball. A great looking bunch. Bucs looked like they were really having fun -- pumped and fired. At this pace, Freedom Hall will be full down the road as word spreads of Forbes style basketball. And, the Hall sure looks as good or better on TV than some venues that ESPN visits. When that place is renovated, it should be nice. GO BUCS!!!!!

Well worth waking up an hour early and being late for work. So refreshing to not see the 3 man weave and 2-3 zone. When is the last time we scored 100 on a D1 team, and a quality one at that? I'm guessing it didn't happen under Murry. Look out Villanova!

Edit: looks like the last time was in 2011 in the 2OT game vs. Lipscomb. Last time we hit triple digits in regulation was Mercer 2009. I have a feeling it will be a regular occurrence this year!

Well we did do it a lot when Pigram, Tiggs, and Smith were here. Mercer, Florida Gulf Coast, and a couple of others.

I expected they would start slow. Major step up in speed and competition but boy did they wake up.

In years past it seemed no lead was safe no matter how big or late it was. Great to see this team have the killer instinct to finish the job. Also my wife, who knows little about basketball was amazed at how much we sub in and out and how much Forbes manages the game.

RE: Official Game Thread: Green Bay
I will be the first to admit that I was wrong about the expected turnout for this game. I didn't think it would draw many fans, but it was a great crowd and loud! Students brought that place to life this morning. I am just so glad that we didn't screw that up- in previous years we would have lost that game by 30. This game should help future game attendance significantly.

I thought we played pretty well on defense- just played a good team and fouled too often. We do need to get better on offense against the zone, we were fortunate to hit some timely shots and get bailed out a few times by the officials when the shot clock was under 5 second. Overall great game!

RE: Official Game Thread: Green Bay
Bizarrely officiated game. Most fouls were away from the ball type with several real questionable ones. AJ and Petey picked up two very fast. We missed AJ for almost the entire first half.

We started a small, four guard lineup (Ike, AJ, Petey, TJ, Guyn) with intention, I think, to man up on Love. After the foul trouble, we had to recalibrate. Benny Lufile and Desonta kept us afloat until Guyn could settle into his role. Lester was a big emotional boost in limited minutes.

Lots of contributors, and we survived a good team with Deuce having an off "night".

I'll be headed to Philly to see the Villanova game. We ought to be able to play fun, fast and loose versus Nova and Georgia Tech. Philadelphia is the home of Rocky Balboa, and in that vein we need to absorb the big blows and still be standing late. We have a puncher's chance with the shooters and hustle.

RE: Official Game Thread: Green Bay
I know the NCAA has established the "freedom of movement" rules that will inhibit defenders, but the officials interpretation of that was really awful this morning.
