They'll be stepping off you and onto me. A fine bourbon is nice, but at a football game where it flows for three or four hours leading up to the game and spillage begins to take hold, Evan Williams or even Mr. Beam will do just fine.

Well, once you get to the point where it doesn't matter ( spillage, is quality really that much of a factor for your fifth drink), I've always found Canadian works. I mean the cheapest Canadian I can find. Recently finished off a handle of Harwood. Working on some Canadian Mist now. Don't drink this stuff in any context other than this. But I keep some on hand JUST for this. :-)

Has anyone tried Highland Park's Dark Origins? I'm trying to figure out which scotch to bring for Saturday evening festivities

Ill take Irish Whiskey over Bourbon any day. Jameson Caskmates cannot be recommended enough and filled my flask during ESPN Gameday. However, nothing wrong with Makers or Bulleit which is coming on very strong in the bourbon category for me

For drinkablility (while not a bourbon), Bullleit Rye. Bulleit Rye and ginger is a staple. Bulleit bourbon is solid too. Eagle Rare brings it but has gotten far too popular/price-pointed out at your normal joints. Can't really disagree with any of the aforementioned suggestions... especially if it's being handed to me at a JMU tailgate.

Bulleit rye and ginger. There is no substitute.

Try this, good sir. Bulleit Rye, ginger ale, a splash of ginger beer, lime, and one douse of bitters (optional drop of red food coloring). I call it the Ginja Ninja... for obvious reasons.

I always have a lime in my bulleit rye with ginger. Will definitely try with bitters. I will try it in a box, I will try it with a fox.....

Personally, not a fan of the bitters, but it holds true to the lore of the concoction and namesake. (really not at all 'bitter' about the guy leaving, more of a novelty of the situation than anything else).
