Navy deserves a chance at the CFP
They are far more worthy of a spot than many of the teams above them (except Notre Dame, who beat them).

Will not be surprised to see them in the Top 15.

So they deserve a shot over undefeated O$U? Undefeated Clemson? Undefeated Iowa? Alabama? LSU?

If they had played and beaten a decent P5 instead of playing Colgate, and Notre Dame wins out, that would be one thing.

With non conf games against Air Force and Army every year, they have to schedule up with the other two. (not sure if Notre Dame is an every year thing)

No P5 wins and was butchered vs. ND.

They will be lucky to rep the G5.

not over an undefeated or 1-loss P5, or a 1-loss Notre Dame who whipped them.

ND doesn't mean anything to me either. However, that is pretty common knowledge among most knowledgeable fans of college football.

It sounds bizarre to say this but Navy is ND's most cherished rival. As we have seen, they were willing to end series against teams like Michigan, Michigan State, and even and even in-state foe, Purdue. However, the Irish will always play the Midshipmen.

Those are two of my favorite road trips, BTW. If you ever have a chance to take in a game in South Bend or Annapolis, you should absolutely take advantage of that opportunity because each of those places are special for different reasons.

As for the Middies' playoff worthiness, I would need to see more before I could endorse that view. Right now, I think they are more likely a New Year's Six bowl type of team - assuming they win the AAC.

I think Navy is very good this year just no one knows because they only play ND in non-conference. They have some good wins on their resume against Memphis and Air Force; and possibly Houston. If they had scheduled an ACC or Big Ten team instead we might have known more about them. There loss to ND also was hurt by Reynolds getting hurt

I was answering your question, but no offense taken. Hell, I don't even know who Minnesota has on its schedule this year.

You're a college football fan and didn't know that they've been playing annually since the 20s? I'm not saying you'd know it was 1927, I didn't either, but I knew this series had been going on for nearly 100 years.

Whipped? Game was close a large portion of game, and that was with Keenan Reynolds injured part of the game.

Maybe because Notre Dame is a famous national program with the most unique TV deal in the country that everyone follows and loves or hates. Maybe you just started following a few years ago but they just praised Navy at the end of the last decade for ending the Irish's 44 year winning streak over the USNA. That would indicate they play every year.

Yeah that's a hard sell not beating a P5 team.

This would be a relevant post had Navy beaten Notre Dame and was undefeated.

But they aren't. 07-coffee3
