There's Michael Turner, who has probably had the best NFL career out of the MAC. Then Chester Taylor. After that, I can't think of anyone special. Maybe there's someone obvious I'm missing, but Turner and Chester are the top two that come to mind.

I would not put him up there with Turner or Chester, but James Starks of Buffalo (and now Green Bay) is on the radar screen.

Going back to the 1970's there was Don Nottingham, "the bowling ball", out of Kent State who played RB for the Baltimore Colts and later the Miami Dolphins. Never thought about it before but he was probably on some of those Don James teams at Kent with Gary Pinkel, Nick Saban and Jack Lambert.

Triplett. Preston from BG and Nottingham from Kent had some success. Parmalee and then Carpenter who was more of a blocking back but put up some yards (4,300)+ a guy from Miami, Sherman Smith (3200).
