Overall I think we have a really talented group of players. Like most years we are going to struggle in the halfcourt. Part of that is the lack of outside shooting. Rebounding wasn't very good on the defensive end although So Miss clanked a bunch of shots. Dedric was pretty impressive. I really like Martin too.

I feel like the team came out with a lot more energy in the game. The Lawsons are good and so is Tarrant. This will be interesting season. Waiting to see how they do Tuesday night.

Watching the first 10 minutes, I remember thinking Southern Miss wasn't getting any second chance shots at all -- we got all but a couple of defensive rebounds. Then there was a timeout, and they got seven offensive boards between then and halftime (and ended up getting 21 off 49 misses for the game.) Something changed somewhere.

Overall, it was just another good warm up to let the new guys get their jitters out of the way, but Tuesday we get to see how we stack up against real talent. That would be a big win if we could surprise 'em somehow.
