I know you're joking about a toe nail injury and TLL is injury prone, but I don't think his injuries that have kept him out of games have been minor ones. NIU just can't depend on him to play 100% or a full game. It was nice to see him at full speed against Toledo in the 1st half. Too bad he couldn't have played more the last few years. He is fun to watch and gives the offense another dynamic player.

I don't wish an injury on anyone, but TLL back usually means less touches for Turner, who is a playmaker, and has become my favorite player. For not being very big, Turner rarely goes down after initial opposing contact. If TLL is back, I hope we still find a way to keep Turner very involved in the offense.

That is true about Turner. But a healthy TLL showed what he can do against Toledo.

We really should put TLL and Ducee on opposite sides of the field. Motion one as if it's going to be a jetsweep and at the snap have the other guy run behind the QB going the opposite direction. You can either give it to the jetsweep guy or hand it off to the guy running the opposite way.

I love watching Tommy play and when he is healthy he is one of my favorite players. That said, I hope that they only play him if he is 90% or more healthy. Turner has a burst and I would hate to see his touches limited by a less than healthy Tommy Lee.

Tommy in the game also forces the opposing team to cover him closely (including double coverage) which could open opportunities for Turner. I agree though, we need to get Turner the ball.

Tommy is twice the receiver Turner is if he's healthy. How quickly you guys forget. Tommy caught 80 some passes a junior. Turner is in the 20s this year. Stop this nonsense.

You stop your nonsense. Tommy WAS that good. He's Derrick Rose now, damaged goods that will never be what he once was. Tommy showed a couple flashes of what he used to be against Toledo but he'll never be the same player. Duecee is better in space.

TLL has been a warrior throughout his career and poured his heart and soul into the Huskie program.

Turner has been a hell of a returner this year, but he's 10 games into his junior year and he's never shown the ability to be a playmaker on offense. He hasn't been terrible or anything, but to this point in his career the hype has far surpassed his actual production.

Fair-ish.... Production is a combo of ability and opportunity... Turner appears to be an afterthought in our game plans....its always tll Kenny...I think turners perfromed fantastic when call upon

Dude the year that TLL had 86 catches he only averaged 8 yards per catch and had 3 TDs. His long was 41 yards. If Ducee got the 110 targets that TLL did that year then his production would be very similar.

Turner is finally getting his chance though, and he has come through.

That's certainly debatable but there was a hell of a lot more room when you had a team that run for over 4,000 yards that year. Then you had Da'Ron who caught about 50% of his targets and Canada. No competition for the slot role or underneath routes at all.
