Nobody said anything close to that. He said the freshman looked good. That is all.

Really????

Key and Porter are going to be absolute studs, and Pauga is a 3-pt machine. If Pauga gets open looks, he is automatic. Levi Bradley is also going to be a dominant force once he gets a year or two to fill out physically. NIU does have a fab 5 of sorts with these freshman. As far as the rivalry thing goes, I am not too concerned. NIU is rising in basketball now and that alone will breed rivalries. Back in the early 2000's when NIU was pretty good, they were developing a rivalry with Chris Kaman's CMU team. As NIU continues to rise in the MAC, so will the rivalries. And the profile of MAC basketball as a whole is moving up pretty good, now positioned as the 2nd best mid major conference behind the West Coast Conference. Of course as long as Gonzaga is there, that will be tough to surpass
Well, he did say "of sorts" and moving on up is a relative term based on the last what, 10 years of crappy b-ball. Then again, most of the NIU board thinks MD's posts are a little 01-wingedeagle and often exaggerates so I guess I just missed his a bit over the top post.

All schools have over the top fans.... guess I got tired of listening to the anti Illini, anti Redbird fans over on the NIU board that have their heads so far stuck in the sand they can not see reality.. sorry about that..

Which is all an untruth, for the last few years when anyone mentions ISU being a great candidate of the MAC if it expands, NIU fans did nothing but start ripping the school here and on the NIU board..

After I put him on my ignore list, my animosity toward Illinois State quickly faded.

I'm sure its a fine school, and having trolls and other nuisances that happen to "support" them by going out of their way to alienate people who otherwise have no reason to dislike them is not really Illinois State's fault, its just behavior that the internet seems to encourage.
