RE: Western Carolina at UC
The things I notice from looking at the game summary, every time we went up around 30 we gave up 5-7 quick points. We're playing down to the competition. Our bigs are clearly offensively capable. For the love of God, hang on to the damn ball. WTF is up with the TO's? I trust they'll tighten things up these next few games. I am encouraged by Clark finding his offense again and "Sweet baby Jesus!!!" @ 9/10 and 3/3 at the line.

They forgot to guard their 3 point shooter, lol. Reminding me of a Huggs game. Can't believe we gave up that many points, but Dayam that frontcourt is a beast.

Loved the O! Think about it, the D just gives Mick something to yell about. Keep the Offensive flow going, the ball movement, etc. We know this team will lock down on defense. Let's see what happens over the next 16 days.

RE: Western Carolina at UC
A few things. I don't think we can play that fast all year. We were at times reckless with the ball trying to rush it. I do like the idea of pushing it up the Court initially looking for the quick post, but they will have to become more disciplined when it's not there. I think it's a matter of time.

Many of us have been saying this for a while, but this team has offensive weapons and they are going to be a good offensive team. Our post guys simply outclassed this team. It won't always be this easy but our post guys are good (And Clark burying that mid range J early along with two free throws got me fired up for him this year). Additionally, Troy, Cobb, and KJ all are very good three point shooters (i'm also encouraged by Evans' shot). I'm excited by what they can do.

Jennifer showed some of the flash that is going to make him special some day, but I think he'll have a hard time seeing the court against the best teams. Troy is too important to this team and Cobb is good enough to spell him at times. I thought Jennifer's decision making at times was freshman like (of course) and think his defense won't be there this year. That said, excited to watch him and think he ultimately be a pretty great Bearcat.

Mike Brown hit some really tough shots for Western Carolina... I mean the defense was sloppy at times and out of position, but some of Western Carolina's second half points were just from really good shot making on their part.

Good start to what is going to be an awesome year.

This team can put the ball in the basket. And I mean a lot of the guys on the team are capable scorers. I look for ball security to be the biggest issue. But we are big and athletic at every position. We have post players with skill and some guys who can get hot from outside. Going to be a fun year of Bearcat basketball.

I agree with this. You can see the vision and quickness everyone raved about but it's going to take awhile and the three guards ahead of him are all good players. Against the cream of our schedule I'd like to see the 80 guard minutes go 30+ for Troy and 25/25 for Cobb/KJ. Jenifer is in a good spot because he can develop behind Troy for two years before he has to take over.

I was really impressed with our passing. Making that extra pass down low, etc. to a wide open cutter. This team has that look of a veteran team, ie, guys just "know" each other and where each other is on the court, etc. I thought Jennifer and Evans blended in with that nicely. This team can be special.

In watching the feed last night, the cameras kept showing him. Have not been too excited about the Reds of late (obviously) but I like BP, especially in showing enthusiasm towards the home team.

Mark, thanks for the wrap-up. Well done as usual 04-bow
