Is it me, or have we gone from a 10 excitement wise to a 2?

The events have not set up favorably for increased or even maintained excitement.

The SMU win really elevated the excitement level.

Game day and the Richmond football game brought it to a JMU 10.

Then the season injury of Vad, followed by loss to RU.

Then away game loss to W&M and what appeared to be a smaller than average JMU crowd for a W&M game.

Then a bye week.

Now another road game.

Then finally a home game but students will be on break.

Very few newspaper articles.

And if we win the last two we likely have another bye in the first week of the playoffs.

The sequence of events are pretty amazing.

I know for the group of us going to UD it's still exciting, but it does feel like we've gone from an excitement level of[/quote] 10 to a 2.

I think the level of excitement has declined but hopefully a win at Delaware will re-energize the fan base.

I think you've made an excellent observation. I think a couple wins will turn the meter back up, but I wonder if it will ever be as high as it was by Game Day.

Was planning on going to Delaware tomorrow but the wife is sick so we are going to watch it on TV.

I thought the W&M crowd was very strong.

the wm game was on Halloween. anyone with families would've chosen to skip it.

definitely need a W and this thing should be back on. Two Ws really. Actually, minimum 3 W's.

Hell let's win 6 or 7 more. That'll fix everything.

My perception of the W&M road crowd is I thought we normally fill the 3 sections to the right of the press box. Seemed like overall we were about 2/3s this time. It's just kinda weird. It almost feels like the season is over, but we're 7-2 and headed to the playoffs.

It's very likely the next home game the students will see is a month and a half following RU.

If I'm feeling it or perhaps should say not feeling it, how about the other 98% of our fan base that are not as big of fans?

It will be interesting to see how the team plays the next two weeks. I hope we didn't peak at Game Day.

Weird, but it will be nice to play tomorrow and hopefully pick up an impressive looking win.

No doubt that the events leading up to and on 10/24 created an incredible GameDay high. This was immediately followed (hours later) by the Richmond loss and, worse, Vad's injury and, definitely, was a turning point in FB excitement. I'll even say that the Vad imposter on these boards took some off the top when we learned we may have been punked.

Let's break the cycle with a win against Delaware and all will be better. Go Dukes!

that mascot race is such a hack. I hate it so much. Maybe as much as i hate spatters and nerds.
