2016 Football Schedule
Just saw this elsewhere, it appears UNH just released their 2016 schedule to include CAA games. We are AGAIN playing UNH next year, 10/1, at UNH.

Villanova and UR both get a pass playing UNH next year.

I don't fully understand how we are supposed to be rotating the teams. My understanding was we have UR, Elon, JMU, Delaware and Towson as permanent every year and rotate the the other six teams. It seems like UNH and W&M have a permanent set-up in the rotation as well. I guess this means we have no Villanova or Stony Brook next year, not sure who would come on among Maine, URI or UAlbany.

RE: 2016 Football Schedule
Apparently CAA has released schedule - http://www.bluehens.com/fls/29100/pdf/20...hedule.pdf

Based on what we see:
Sept 3 - @NC State
Sept 10 - ???
Sept 17 - ???
Sept 24 - Elon
Oct 1 - @UNH (their homecoming)
Oct 8 - @JMU
Oct 15 - Delaware
Oct 22 - Bye (hopefully)
Oct 29 - Maine
Nov 5 - @SBU
Nov 12 - @Towson
Nov 19 - Richmond

Looks like we have some tougher away games next year. Figure that Maine and Elon will likely be Family Day and Homecoming. Means no Nova, URI or Albany. Anyone know the other OOC games?

I know we play NSU at home next year on the 17th. And I think our game on the 10th is @Hampton

CAA composite for 2016. We'll have @Hampton on 9/10 and Norfolk State at home on 9/17.

Two MEAC games is at least one too many.
Poor job on the OOC.

2016 Football Schedule
This will be Albany's third year in the conference, I think, and we still haven't played them.

Disagree. I like playing both HU and NSU.

I'd rather see us rotate HU and NSU playing one each year.

RE: 2016 Football Schedule
It then appears that Norfolk State on September 17th will be our opponent for the grand opening of the "new", revamped Zable Stadium. A huge day for sure.

I doubt Homecoming will be for a September game (Elon)..most probably either Delaware or Maine in October. September is never used for HC as that early date means a month less to promote HC.

This will only be for one year. Four year deal with Hampton ends with 2016 game.

RE: 2016 Football Schedule
From a geography standpoint, and a W's and L's standpoint, I think the first four games for next year are a good deal for the program.

I think the realistic goal every year has to be 2-1 OOC and 5-3 in CAA play.

On paper, next year's schedule accomplishes that goal.

I believe he meant Elon in September for Family Weekend and Maine in October for HC.

I would think Maine. For Delaware, we will already have a decent crowd. Since Maine is in October too, might as well make that one Homecoming. Make it Halloween themed.

I think 2016 will be the first time, maybe ever, that we'll play no CAA team after their bye week.

I'm sure the CAA will rectify that error
