Buffalo position grades
QB-C+

Some good, some bad. He definitely has enough talent to manage us to victories. He doesn't have enough arm talent to throw anything outside the hashes to the wide side of the field. Give the kid credit for moxy though. Coaches just need to protect him. Biggest issue I see is he doesn't have the ability to get off his primary read right now. If Kenny G can win some battles, TLL and Duecee can make a man miss...we can make it work. We need to stay out of 3rd and long at all cost. Look much more assured running this week. It's a part of our offense but we have got to limit it. If we lose him we are toast.

RB-A

They needed to do their thing this week and they did. Awesome.

WR-B+

Kenny G and Duecee were ballin'. Can't throw the ball to 2 wr's and expect to win many games tho.

TE-N/A

What are those?

OL-B

Good running lanes, decent pass pro. Andrew...wtf?!

DL-B

Got pressure when they needed to. Pretty solid in the run game.

LB-B-

Meh. That's how this group played tonight.

DB-B-

3 int's is always noteworthy. But...they had a sizable talent advantage and the Bulls still made a lot of big plays. PLo...I'm not sure I've ever seen a bigger decline in play year over year...he's a complete liability. Him manned up on Cory Davis has me trembling.

ST-B

Hagan...nails. Ambrose...not so much

Coaching-B

I thought the game plan was spot on. For the record, I'm good with the aggressiveness on fourth down. The last one probably wasn't the right call but we convert a lot and the data all shows it's worth the risk.

Good win. That was a classic trap game. Well coached, physical football team in the freezing rain in front of 6 fans. Made it closer than it needed to be but the result was all that mattered.

Sink the blucking float.

Coaching head scratcher… they went for it on 4th down at the 50 and then punted on 4th and short at the opponents 38-40 yard line??? Wtf.

Also, throwing the ball on 3rd and 3 instead of running it and then throwing again on 4th down for the pick 6. another horrible call by the coaches. glad carey took responsibility for that. that’s inexcusable from a D1 staff. you have your backup qb playing… run the ball on 3rd and 4th downs… you have two opportunities to get 3 yards….

go huskies

RE: Buffalo position grades
What stood out to me yesterday perhaps more than anything was not how outstanding our special offensive performers were....they were great and hat's off, again to our young frosh...he could be our guy down the road.

What was most glaring was Paris Logan. Oh my. Is his back up that poor?! WMU is drooling at the thought of him. And, so are the yellow flags. He best have a reeeealll good week of preparation and I hope that he has an understudy who can outperform him. How is that not even possible?
