Good Effort, Griz
The Griz could not overcome their horrible shooting, player availability, and Curry; but I thought they tried hard and the game was closer than the final score indicated. Better days are ahead.

The game was not closer than the final score indicated. Warriors were up over 20 shortly before the game ended. Grizz wasn't in the game at all in the fourth quarter.

Calkins wrote that the Griz showed progress last night. I agree with him.

True, but progress in being made toward winning more games.

I agree. The one handed off balance one was just an absolute gut punch. Down 4 and had Golden State flustered on the offensive end.

The guy is just unreal

The Griz are not the only NBA team losing to GS. They have an excellent team and the Griz kept up well until Curry put on his MVP cape.

The only real bright spot I noticed was the bigs. As the NBA continues to transition to the "small-ball" game, our bigs still proved dominant. Great game by Tony, as well.

They have played 9 games. The jury is still out. Conley seems to be the key.

This.

Starting backcourt taking a day off doesn't help either ... ugh. 3-6, but it is early in the season and honestly, we have had one of the toughest schedules to start the season. I'm sure we will right the ship sooner rather than later. This still is a 50+ win team ...

The Grizz can't afford to dip too far below .500 before January. We play in the West. Missing the playoffs and losing the resultant lottery pick is a very real possibility.

They aren't going to suddenly learn how to shoot. What exactly are you expecting to change that would lead to better play? This team has the same problems they have had for years. The difference this year is the defense has dropped some to go along with the inept shooting/offense

As a whole I agree, but Mike is a much better shooter than he has been this year. They aren't going to win many games if Mike isn't scoring

for those fans who say they won't or can't support the team because of the Chalmers signing, you never did in the first place, just don't kid us....so no worries (right 21-17?) - just another way to say you don't care for the local NBA team regardless

"I've been getting booed for seven years," Chalmers said. "Let bygones be bygones. Let's just move on. I'm a Memphis Grizzly now. I'm here to help the team. I'm here to help the community and bring smiles and a friendly face."

I think Conley's shooting will improve. He is in a bit of a lull, but will snap back to normal.

Tough schedule...3-6 over nine games not that unreasonable.

Would have been nice to get one or even two more of those tough games, but there will be nine game stretches in the future which will see 7-2 and the like. Long season.

Team is not elite level, but should grind it out and overcome this first ten percent start...and end up in that 7-4 seed tier. Likely closer to 7, but solid as expected.

This is spot on. I don't know of one Grizzlies/Tigers fan that will drop their support of the Grizz because the team traded for Chalmers.
